What is my next project!

by Chelsey Zumpano

My Orbit Reader 20 is working again! I’m super happy that I found a charger that worked with it! It’s a charger to something else, but I’m still having problems with it! Like right now it just randomly shut off as I was typing this! Anyway let’s get on with today’s post!

Today I want to talk about the fact that it’s the last day of national novel writing month and I’m going to move onto a new project for December! The first project is that I am going to be doing vlogmiss this year so that means I will be uploading a Christmas themed video for every day in the month of December! I’m also going to be doing the elf on the shelf so you guys will get to meet my elf on my Instagram tomorrow! Please let me know what you’d like to see for my videos and for elf.

I hope everyone enjoyed all my posts for national novel writing month and if you have any suggestions for challenges you’d like me to see me do for other months of the year, please let me know down in the comments!

I got my drawing mojo back!

by Chelsey Zumpano

I’m super excited that I got my drawing mojo back! I haven’t drawn much sense Hazel was a small pup! I just haven’t had the motivation or creativity to draw. I use to paint or draw a lot; I took art all through out high school, I even took AP Art. I loved art and still do. Art isn’t a coping mechanism, (not like reading or writing is), I tend to draw or paint something of the opposite of how I’m feeling.

I love coming up with seens to paint. Sometimes I feel like I have to plan out what I’m making before I do it and try to just do little doodles. SOMETIMES I get so frustrated trying to get the image out of my head on to paper and that’s when I have to stop and come back to it later. I’m the hardest on myself when it comes to my creations.

Recently I’ve started using sharpies to draw because my vision has changed. I can still probaely still use pencil, but I can draw with more detail with sharpies. I want to experiment with different art tools and mmediums, So please if you have any recommendations, please let me know down in the comments.

Now here are some of my doodles!

I hope everyone had a happy and safe thanksgiving if you don’t celebrate or if you didn’t have a good day: try to think of some things that you’re thankful for!

• my family are healthy

• Hazel did not try to steal the turkey

• we played Monopoly

• going on walks with Hazel and my family

• Lucy and Hazel will cuddle sometimes

• I made it to over 100 posts on this blog

• I learned how to make green bean casserole

• cuddles with Audrey

• texting my friends

• I have 169 subscribers on YouTube

• cuddles with Pixie

I had a nice Thanksgiving: we just relaxed and played Monopoly. We also had some yummy food. Let me know some things that you’re thankful for down in the comments.

I made it to 100 blog posts! // A product review!

By Chelsey Zumpano

Yesterday I made it to 100 blog post! I’m so excited and super proud that I made it this far!

Today I want to talk about this really cool product I have: it’s a candle melter! It’s not like the melter that you put the candle wax in and it melts it down. It’s like a hot plate and you just put your candle on top of it and it heated up. I love it because I don’t like having candles because I have cats and I don’t want them to knock it over. This way it’s a lot safer and I don’t have to worry about fires. All I have to do is just turn the little switch on on the cord and listen to the click and then it’s on and the same for when you turn off it just makes a click.

Some of my favorite movies!

By Chelsey Zumpano

(I’m really tired and don’t have the energy to go to edit this right now because my orbit reader 20 is still not working and I have a headache. I will edit this in the morning).

I like movies, but I don’t compare to books. I figured I just do a list of my favorite movies anyway. It’s odd because my taste in books is way different my taste in movies! Like I watch all of the Nicholas Sparks movie book adaptations, but I don’t really like reading the actual books. I have nothing against Nicholas sparks writing, but Romance books just don’t hold my interest as much as the movies do.

  • I can’t think of the movie’s name right now, but it’s about this boy who is in love with this girl from high school and the movie starts out with them at graduation. She lost her brother from cancer during high school and wasn’t really like living that much. I remember that her name was Jane Butterfield. The dad didn’t really approve of the two dating. They fall in love over the summer and it’s really beautiful. There’s obviously more to the plot, but I don’t wanna spoil it too much.
  • Snow dogs
  • Eight below
  • All the marvel movies
  • A dogs way home
  • A dog’s purpose
  • Fantastic beasts
  • The new beauty and the beast
  • All the Nicholas Sparks movie adaptations
  • 5 feet apart
  • Beautiful creatures
  • The little mermaid
  • Alex Strangelove
  • Aqua marine
  • The breakfast club

I need to become a minimalist!

By Chelsey Zumpano

I discover that I need to become a minimalist! Especially when it comes to my clothes! I was going through my closet the other day and trying to re-organize everything And my mom and I were talking because I pretty much don’t wear half my clothes! She said I should become a minimalist and I agree I’m the type of person when I find an outfit I really like I’ll wear over and over again. (I do this a lot especially with my shoes).

So I narrowed it down to things I kept for sentimental reasons, my favorite outfits, and things I could keep until I could buy a similar item. It didn’t take that long to organize and put everything back in its place. I can find things much easier now!

Let’s talk about procrastinating!

By chelsey Zumpano

Everyone procrastinates! I used to procrastinate on doing homework or doing school projects. Now sometimes I procrastinate on writing for this blog or editing YouTube videos. I love doing what I do!Sometimes I procrastinate because I can’t think what I’m going to write about, so I’m waiting for inspiration.

Sometimes I procrastinate because I don’t really want to write about that subject because I’m worried about what people are going to think about it. Sometimes I procrastinate because I have other things I need to do that day.

Here are some things I try to do to make myself do the project sooner!

• give myself some incentive, such as after I do this project I can read another chapter of my book.

• get up early, so I can take Hazel on a walk and that way she’ll nap while I get stuff done.

• cleaning my room, so I can focus better.

• listen to my writing playlist.

Makes stores more accessible! #blind

By Chelsey Zumpano

I was talking to my mom earlier today and she had an interesting thought: Bathroom should be in the same spot in every store, (like boys on the left and girls on the right). I absolutely agree with this and to make things even Simpler stores like target and Walmart should be the same in each store! Like for instants if the toys are on aisle six in Walmart that’s where should they should be in every Walmart! If the milk is on aisle four in target it should be in all

the targets! It would make shopping by myself so much easier!

I might make a video on this topic if anyone is interested please let me know that in the comments? I’m sorry this is such a short post, but I will try to make a longer one tomorrow.

A rant about dictation!

by Chelsey Zumpano

The mistakes with punctuation and lack of punctuation and words not making sense are intentional. I want to preface this post by saying I’m just extremelyfrustrated because my orbit reader 20 is still not working right! So this is a rant! Don’t get me wrong dictation is really good because it’s good to be to be independent when you don’t have a keyboard or braille device to type on!

• doesn’t get all my words

• sometimes replaces words with cuss words

• sometimes replaces words with make fucking sense

I’m fucking aware that it is super ironic that I’m writing this with dictation! Dictation is really good like I said, but I personally just don’t like it because I’d rather type out my words and say it aloud! When I’m typing long sentences or paragraphs I’m able to put the punctuation, but when I’m using dictation it doesn’t do it for me and I have to say it. The really weird thing is that when I’m using dictation with voiceover or just reading it back with voiceover I mean it has numbers sometimes randomly at the end of the word, but the words aren’t actually there on the screen I mean the numbers aren’t actually there on the screen. I just feel like my words come across better when I’m physically typing them out on a Braille keyboard.

Dictation is a great accessibility tool, but all tools have their flaws.. They can all be frustrating at times. Let me know your favorite accessibility tools or devices in the comments below!
